Vu Technologies, an Indian television manufacturer, has today announced a new category of television, labeled Vu Cinema TV, in India. The Vu Cinema comes with Vu’s Pixelium Glass Technology, in-built 40 Watt Tweeter, Dolby processing Audio, and is claimed to be India’s first TV that involves 100% robotic assembly of LED panels.

The Vu Cinema TV features optical panels with Vu Pixelium Glass technology, which enhances light reflection by 40% to offer a brighter, sharper viewing experience with wide viewing angles. It comes with 4K resolution, and the company suggests it offers up to 500 nits of brightness, which it says is higher than some of the other 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) UHD TVs. Besides, the TV includes 40W Tweeter, along with soundbar amplifies vocals and bass along with 2 Tweeter that ensures a full range of surround sound in the room. It comes in three sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch, with all the three variants sharing the same set of features and specifications, except for the change in screen size.

Among other things, the TV comes with ActiVoice remote and Google Assistant support to offer direct and easy access to a wide variety of content from partners like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Hotstar, and Google Play, for which, the TV remote includes 5 hotkeys. In addition, Vu’s Upscaler Technology also aids with a better cinematic experience from platforms like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. The TV runs on Android 9 and offers support for Apple, Windows, and Android connectivity, in addition to Google Chromecast.

Speaking at the launch, Devita Saraf, Chairperson and CEO, VU Technologies said, “Vu Televisions are the leaders in hardware and software innovation for TVs in India since 2006 and we have kept that promise with the launch of Vu Cinema TV. This television is specifically designed keeping in mind the viewing pattern of today’s millennials who prefers to watch content across OTT platforms. Consumers can save on expensive movie theatre tickets and get cinema-like picture quality on OTT content from the comfort of their home.

Vu Cinema TV: Pricing and Availability

The Vu Cinema TV comes in three variants: 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch, priced at Rs 26,999, Rs 29,999, and Rs 33,999 respectively. It will go on sale starting January 18 on Amazon.in.
